Artist description :

Emily Choy Hoi Ying is a Hong Kong artist who primarily works in printmaking and painting.  Her work often reflects everyday life, using narrative and light humor to present both ordinary and notable moments. She frequently incorporates insects, daily activities, and elements of popular culture, with the aim of creating works that are accessible and that invite viewers to evoke their inner perception.

Choy received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the School of Visual Arts at Hong Kong Baptist University in 2022. She currently resides in Hong Kong and works as an independent curator as well as the  operator of The Frog Studio. Her long-term personal goal is to live in the countryside, raise cows, and be able to make delicious bread.
